If you're a tech-savvy individual seeking complete control over your media, especially photos and videos, choose immich. Its self-hosted nature and high performance make it ideal for users who prioritize privacy and want to manage their media without relying on cloud services. However, be prepared for the initial setup and recognize that it has limited third-party integrations.
On the other hand, if you're a Mac user who values keyboard-driven efficiency in window management, Rectangle is the way to go. It's lightweight, free, and open-source, making it perfect for users preferring a straightforward snapping solution without any account requirements or telemetry. Just note that if you're looking for advanced layouts or an all-in-one utility, you might need to seek a paid Pro version or a different solution altogether.
