For a tech-savvy user who values privacy and demands high performance in managing photos and videos, choose Immich. Its self-hosted nature gives you full control over your data, which is ideal if you're cautious about cloud solutions. However, be prepared for the initial setup, as it's not beginner-friendly, and you might miss out on extensive integrations that cloud alternatives provide.
On the other hand, if you're a Mac user looking for powerful automation and a fast, stable launcher, Alfred is your best bet. Its deep workflow capabilities can greatly enhance efficiency, especially if you're tech-focused and willing to invest in the Powerpack for advanced features. Just note that it’s Mac-exclusive, so if you need cross-platform compatibility, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
