The best tools for Whiteboarding

For whiteboarding, your best bet is Excalidraw. Its charming hand-drawn aesthetic makes sketching intuitive and visually appealing, perfect for brainstorming or developing architectural models. Plus, being open source and self-hostable means you have control over your data, and it can even be used offline, catering to those times when you lack internet access.

If you're looking for a more polished experience, tldraw could be a better option, especially with its infinite canvas and real-time collaboration features. It’s particularly suited for teams that need to co-create and iterate on designs together. Meanwhile, Figma is excellent for interface design, but it leans more into component-based design rather than straightforward whiteboarding, making it less ideal for quick sketches or brainstorming sessions.
